Past Auctions and What Things Sold For

Every auction an auction house has closed stays on its site, with every lot, every photo and the hammer price, for as long as the house is on the platform.

Nothing comes down when an auction closes. Every auction an auction house has run stays on its site, with every lot, every photo and what it sold for.

Finding an Old Auction

  • Past auctions, linked at the bottom of every page and from the "Past auctions" line on the home page, lists every closed auction newest first, grouped by year. Open one and you are on the auction page exactly as bidders saw it, with each lot's hammer price.
  • Search with the Past filter finds an old lot by any word in its title or description, on the house's site or across every house at once. See Searching every auction house.
  • A link to an auction or a lot keeps working for good. If you saved one, or found it on Google, it still opens.

What a Past Lot Shows

The photos, the description, the hammer price and how many bids it took. Not who bought it, and never anyone's maximum bid.

How Long

For as long as the auction house is on the platform. Old photos are kept on cheaper storage behind the scenes; they load just as they always did.
