Your Account, and What Is Where

Your account is its own place, account.crossroadsellers.com, reached from your picture. Home shows what needs attention and a card per section; Security opens separately, on the sign-in site.

Press your picture at the right end of the menu, then Your Account. You are taken to your own place, account.crossroadsellers.com, and you arrive signed in. It has nothing to do with any one auction house: it is you, the same at every house on the platform. ← Back to Crossroad Sellers, the first thing in the sidebar, takes you back to the auctions.

Home

Your name and picture, then anything that needs attention: an email not yet confirmed, an identity check a house needs, a recovery lock. Each is a short note with one button. Under that, one card per section with its state in a line, so you can see at a glance what is set up and what is not.

The sections

  • Personal Info: click it and the sidebar becomes that section's own menu, with ← Back to your account at the top: Details and Address (with your photo at the top; the pencil on it opens the uploader) and Contact. Contact holds your mobile number and email on one page: Verify texts a code and a small window pops up for it (you can also open it with Enter the Code); Change Email sends a code to the new address, typed on the same page. Text me when I am outbid is a switch: it saves the moment you flip it and says Saved underneath, so what you see is what is set; the switches on Notifications work the same way. Every section with more than one page works this way; Home's are Overview and Your Auction Houses, Payments and ID's are the page itself and Identity Check. Your address is where anything you win is shipped and tells a house which sales tax applies. Details and Address has a box for each thing: first name, last name, street address, apartment or suite, city, state and ZIP. Your mobile number and email live on Contact, where they are verified, so they are not asked for here. Start typing in the Street address box and real addresses appear underneath; use the down arrow or the mouse to pick one and the city, state and ZIP fill themselves in. Every box stays on screen and can be corrected by hand.
  • Security: the ways you sign in, getting back in, your devices and recent activity. This one opens separately, on the sign-in site (login.crossroadsellers.com), in the same plain card as signing in. That is on purpose: passwords and security live in one place and nowhere else. ← Back to your account brings you back.
  • Payments and ID: the card on file, your identity check, and any resale certificate you have filed with a house. We keep only the last four digits of a card.
  • Notifications: which houses' announcements and closing-soon reminders you get. Emails about your own bids, invoices and account always come; they are how the auction works.
  • Privacy and Data: analytics on or off, adult-content photos, your date of birth, a copy of your data, and closing your account.
  • Your Auction Houses: every house you belong to, your paddle number and approval at each, where you consign, your bidder ID and rating, and which role a sign-in lands on if your account holds more than one.

Your bids are not here

Bids, watchlist, invoices, saved searches and following stay with the auctions, under My Bids behind your picture. They are about what you are buying, not who you are.
